    Nurturing Academic Integrity in the Age of AI (Online, Self Paced)

    AI technology has brought forth transformative possibilities for teaching and learning. However, along with its benefits, AI also presents new challenges in maintaining academic integrity. This workshop is designed to equip educators with the ability to integrate AI strategies and tools while nurturing the fundamentals of authenticity, ethics, and originality.


    NOTE: This course is 100% online and will take approximately 6 hours to complete. This course begins on March 25, 2024, and participants have until June 15 to complete all required assignments and activities to receive CTLE credit.

    LHRIC Model Schools utilizes the Schoology Learning Management System. Upon registration, you will receive a welcome message from your instructor with information on how your course works, what you can expect, how to get help along the way, and steps you need to take to enroll.

    Building Foundational Skills for the Elementary Digital Learner (Hybrid)

    [Lifelong Practices for Digital Fluency/Literacy: Apply to Practice] Building Foundational Skills for the Elementary Digital Learner (Hybrid) This workshop is designed to provide elementary classroom teachers with an opportunity to develop strategies for teaching digital literacy foundational skills that are developmentally appropriate for their specific grade levels. The workshop will focus on integrating technology into daily classroom instruction to enhance student learning. The course will cover topics such as basic digital skills, digital citizenship and using digital tools for research, expression, practice and application. The workshop will meet twice virtually and the remainder of the requirements will be online. This course consists of two virtual meetings (April 25 from 3-4 and May 30th from 3-4), supplemented by four hours of online coursework. The online course will be open from April 29-May 29th.

    Software Spotlight: IXL

    IXL is a program that focuses on personalized learning for students. This session will cover a multitude of features and uses for anyone curious about or new to IXL. By using continuous diagnostics or "Smart Score", students can track their own progress in core content areas (Mathematics and ELA). This session starts with a brief overview of IXL functionality, followed by an exploration of the Continuous Diagnostic feature. We'll explore ways to use the Real Time Center, displaying exactly what the students are working on at the moment and if they need assistance. We will also review the SmartScore (an algorithm-based assessment tool), and provide tips on what to look at as students practice. Registrants will receive a Zoom link invite prior to the session.

    Kami 101

    This is a Kami 101 course as well as a fantastic refresher course, if you are already familiar with Kami. Kami is a program that provides editable and designable PDFs. Our vendor spotlight will take you on a journey of learning beyond just using Kami for editing and annotating. From the tools, to ways you can use Kami for accessibility, this session will provide new and innovative features that will ignite your classroom.     BrainPOP Refresh!- Software Spotligh

    BrainPOP offers curriculum based animated movies, learning games, interactive quizzes, primary source activities, and a breadth of additional resources for students in grades 3+. Its topics span Science, Social Studies, English, Math, Engineering & Tech, Health, and Arts & Music. In this webinar we will look into the breadth of activities including: Make-a-Map, a concept mapping tool; , Creative Coding, Make-A-Movie, incorporate gaming into instruction, and provide feedback on learning artifacts.     i Blocks and STEAM Playground: Explore and Learn with Teq and LHRIC

    Join us for this no cost event as we showcase iBlocks, Teq's project based learning solution, as well as STEM products from a multiple of fields at our Playground Event. Product specialists from Teq will be joining us to present on project based learning, proper STEM implementation, programming, coding, robotics, VR, video game creation software and 3D printing. Following the demonstration participants will enjoy hands on opportunities with products and receive support to explore tailored solutions for specific STEM needs for 2024.
